KWH Water acquires all Allied Waters shares

Until recently, the shares of Allied Waters BV were held by two shareholders: KWH Water (60%) and the Allied Waters Foundation (40%). After thorough preparations, KWH acquired the Foundation’s shares on 19 December 2022. “For KWR, an institute for applied scientific research, Allied Waters is an important link,” explains Savic. “Allied Waters’ activities focus on implementation in practice. That includes reducing the water footprint, the introduction of green hydrogen, the beneficial use of residuals from drinking water treatment, and mapping biodiversity in the water ecosystem. In our view, then, intensive collaboration between science and practice is crucial. I would like to thank the former board of the Allied Waters Foundation for its constructive role in the past years.”

Jos Boere, director of Allied Waters BV, adds: “This step will make the alliance with KWR even more intensive. It allows us to embed knowledge in practical applications. In this way, we will help to resolve major social issues, both in the Netherlands and internationally.”
